With the release of her first recording, Eileen Laverty made an impressive introduction to the music scene. Her debut recording, Dancing With Angels (1999), was recognized with a Prairie Music Award for Outstanding Roots Recording and continues to draw praise at home and abroad. She has performed across Canada and Ireland, from coffee houses to concert halls, and shared the stage with renowned artists Ian Tyson, Tom Cochrane, John McDermott, and Mary Black.
Eileen has established herself as a reputable singer-songwriter on the international stage, and her work is often featured on compilation cds, radio and television programs highlighting Canadian music. Her second album, Ground Beneath My Feet, was released in 2007 to critical acclaim, debuting at #7 on the CKUA airplay chart in Alberta. Laverty currently supports her musical career by teaching high school in Saskatoon.
